Your Online English Teacher
After graduating with a BA (Hons) degree from UWIC University in Cardiff, Matt did voluntary work in West Africa and studied French in Lille, a city in North France. Matt’s first teaching job was in Guinea, West Africa where he taught English in a school for refugee children from Sierra Leone. He then joined his first language school in Bristol, England where he taught English to adults and children and was a teacher trainer on the Trinity Certificate course.
From Teacher to Manager
After completing the Trinity Diploma Course, Matt became Director of Studies at another independent language school in Bristol where he managed a team of teachers and gained the Trinity Diploma in ELT Management.
Matt’s most recent role was Director of Studies for an international language school where he was responsible for the studies and management of up to 900 students and 40 teachers.
From General to Exam English
During his career as an English language teacher and academic manager, Matt has taught a variety of courses from general English to business English and exam preparation, including IELTS, TOEFL, TOEIC and Cambridge exams.
From Schools to Zoom
Matt is the founder of British English Online and is now an online English teacher. He uses his teaching and management experience to teach one to one English courses to students all over the world using Zoom.
